Overview

Forbes Middle School (FMS) has a site-based planning and decision making committee that is known as the Campus Improvement Team. The team is composed of teachers, parents, community representatives, and administrators from the campus. The role of the team is to advise the principal on matters affecting student performance and is therefore involved in establishing and reviewing campus education plans, goals, performance objectives, and major classroom instructional programs.

The team also assists in developing, reviewing, and revising the campus improvement plan. Additionally, the team is involved in decisions in the areas of planning, budgeting, curriculum, staffing patterns, staff development, and school organization. To accomplish these things, the team develops a Campus Improvement Plan (best viewed in Internet Explorer) with goals and actions for the school year.

A dedication ceremony was held Sunday, August 12, 2001 at 2:00pm.

The building was officially dedicated in memory of Charles A. Forbes.
